How WRA Works

The WRA is governed by a board made up of representatives from each of the participating communities.  The WRA board meets monthly and has a number of committees.

The WRA includes a conveyance system and a treatment facility. 

WRA Organization

The conveyance system connects each of the participating communities to the wastewater treatment facility.

WRA Conveyance System

The WRA wastewater treatment facility is advanced secondary treatment plant located at 3000 Vandalia Road.  It includes a number of treatment processes which remove the contaminants found in wastewater and produces an effluent which can be safely returned to the Des Moines River.
