[ARCHIVED] Congratulations Graduates

Apprenticeship Photo

Congratulations to our recent Apprenticeship Graduates

Cody Graeve, Ron Ammons, Mike Neal and Brian Olson recently completed and graduated from our apprenticeship program.

This group of apprentices started their career at the WRF in 2017. All newly hired Wastewater Operator Specialists participate in the apprenticeship program. These graduates have successfully completed seven classes at DMACC, achieved their Iowa Grade 2 Wastewater Certificate, received a Class A CDL from the Iowa DOT and completed 6,000 hours of on-the-job training. The apprenticeship program, which was started in 2009, now has had 25 Wastewater Operator Specialists complete the program. Of the 25 graduates, 20 are still employed at the WRF. The extensive training received in the apprenticeship program consistently allows our operators to achieve higher certification. Fifteen of our graduates have achieved either their Grade 3 or 4 Certification. To learn more click here.
